From what I remember for this year's entry, I think that they don't accept foreign cards; you have to pay by bank transfer.
Rick will know for sure. |

| Yep. You need a German bank account to enter online. Merten was kind enough to enter for me last year and almost every other year too. However, Tanya just contacted Alex Berger and got it confirmed for everyone that we would be able to enter on the day for the online price from when we made the enquiry and everyone else did that. I think it's better to enter properly in advance but we can give them a list of names to expect on the day. |

Fred and I are in.
Planning on flying out on the Friday return on the Sunday. What flights are everyone planning on getting? |

I much prefer that idea to the crack-of-dawn start we had last year.
Given the need to drive from the airport to Koblenz this is one that we should try to co-ordinate amongst ourselves to minimise the number of cars hired.
My preference would be an evening flight |

Last year, we flew out Saturday morning (really early), came back Sunday evening.
Hired two / three cars, I think...though I know Speedy Dave loves drivng people carriers |

iirc Frankfurt Hahn (ie. not the main international one). Timewise (according to google maps directions) there's not much difference between Cologne and Frankfurt Hahn
Ooh, thinking about it, maybe I could persuade my new employers to send me to HQ that day/week..... |

| can't find any flights to Frankfurt, but think Cologne is about the same distance from Koblenz anyway so that may be the best option. There are a number of Lufthansa flights out of Heathrow on Friday |

it was Ryanair! Still have nasty memories of arguing with some stupid jobsworth about the size and weight of my bag while sat at the gate waiting for the plane! |
