There was a 17km fitness race as well. Probably some people went into the wrong category.
1:05... yeah. 4 minutes off the pace. 70 in the pack, and then me in 82nd. Get my drift? |

Short weekend report: Nice
Longer version: It was a good trip overall. We expected very much given the event was co-organised by Sebby and the SIC people, so I have to admit a bit of disappointment. as well.
The ispo fair is very very boring for the general public. None of the exhibitors seemed to be much interested in end customers, no advice or help when we were standing around lost and trying to ask something. Good demos (Naomi and co) and youth races though. No places to buy gear or other stuff, not even food.
The race itself was okay. Good tarmac on half the loop, some potholes and other things on the rest. And about 500m on the road to start/finish - That was just plain rubbish.
There were about 550 finishers, divided into WIC/GBC women, WIC/GBS men, then all the rest, so us. The start went okay for me, it took me some time to jump on a suitable line coming from behind, the first one was too slow and got swallowed. My time pleases me because it is my fastest marathon so far. Though I'm sure I can still do faster in perfect conditions
Great party in the evening with a cool Brasilian dance / music combo.
We might go back next year, if the course gets improved and the fair is more shaped to us end-consumers. Otherwise I'll probably not bother, there's other same quality events nearby. |

Or does anyone honestly believe the nr. 1 and nr. 2 of the "Women Freizeitskater" really did 52 min 45 sec ??? Not me... (elite men winner did 58.53!) |
There you go Naomi!

Maybe they removed the elites from your category - lets face it that wouldn't have left too many people. |
