Got a new toy from my local bike shop: Specialized Tarmac Expert
It’s new shiny and hopefully will never get introduced to rain – just waiting for new pedals to arrive from eBay. The best thing was as it’s in the US colours and the 2009 model and as the salesgirl and I had a nice long friendly chat I got it for £1200

Looks like an excellent price for that combination of frame/groupset...the mind boggles as to what you must have said to the salesgirl! |

| It was probably 'Full carbon Boardman at Halfords with 2011 Rival for £1000 - what can you do to beat that?' |

Yeah on paper, and all things equal, like fit, it's probably a better bike. Where did you find it? And what size it? Looks like a 52? It's bargainous, for sure, and a great find.
Warranty - be warned, it's workmanship for a year then a lifetime frame warranty, and by that, they mean the lifetime of the frame. And who knows what the lifetime of a carbon frame is. Just don't crash it |

| Looks nice. Though I have to say that naming a bike "Tarmac" is about as appealing as calling your hard disk product line "Fireball" |

I got it from a bike shop in Fleet - its the 2009 model and in US colours so helped me to get a good bargain. Its a 55 frame
As far as i can tell from reading the warranty docs, as long as i own it and Specialized exist, if I break the frame then i get a new one from them, but i will check and make sure |

In the unlikely event that you are serious about that come down and have a play, or even if you are not serious, come down and have a play. |
