So yesterday was the ending of the Northern Gemany skating league. The day was so cool !
The race was a approx. 12 k relay race. The women race ended with a final sprint that was won by my team-member Jenny - so this was my first ever first place podium 
In the over all year's ranking my team came out second, so nice result too.
Mertens guys team was not that lucky. They did not want him to skate (they thought he was too slow to make them a podium...  ). In the final sprint the boot of the Bremen guy broke and the lost their podium place.
In the over all ranking the team came in third nevertheless.

Thinking back at the beginning of this season where I had so many problems with my skates and my skating I am so happy how this season develloped.
Am really, really looking forward to Berlin now (and German championships in Team-trial where we are planning to go to too). |
