| OK Rick, happy to stay at your place; however Nats took me the only time I've been there and I can't remember the address or how to get there. What time do you suggest arriving? Maybe we can sort it out at Blenheim; or you can post here or PM me , which ever you prefer |

| Yep - count me in. I presume you can register on the day; I have the form but have not sent it of yet. |

OK, i'm now considering this (again). At the moment I have interest from Ed!, Linda for a lift (Glenn might be in Ricks) I was thinking of going down on Saturday afternoon - we can all crash on a friends floor.
I might have one more space (depends on Glenn) |

Yep. That's me, you, Alan and Glenn. We're planning on crashing at mine on Saturday night and going up early in the morning. |

Will be leaving about 7:30am I think.
Autoroute thinks it's a 3 -3.5 hour journey but the traffic round Birmingham can be rather bad at any time and would be good to be able to get some lunch and have plenty of time to warm up before the race. 7:30 should give us plenty of leeway for all that.
Just scrolled back a bit and we have Philippe too. So will be 5 in the car which is fine for a short journey like this.
No room for the gazebo unless I use the roof rack, so I'll make a call on that on Saturday night depending on the forecast. |

| I will be doing the Marthon, and will be travelling by car to and from Preston from Settle, N Yorkshire (I will be staying with my mum who lives there). If anyone is travelling by train or bus, then I may be able to pick up or drop off from a mainline station. Otherwise I doubt whether anyone will be interested in a lift to or from Settle!. Looking forward to seeing you there! |

| Anyone know how many competitors in this event? The picture on the website looks like elite skaters. Is this a serious and large event then? Are we expecting poeple to come internationally? Or is that picture just for decoration? |

Decoration... it will be very similar to Blenheim as an Event. |

This is the first year for this event. I don't think it will be large this year. Jill Rothwell is organising it to promote skating in the north nad is hoping that a number of the local skaters will get involved in the variety of races taking place. The Powerslide UK team are fully supporting it. And I'll be there But I wouldn't expect many international skaters to be there - it's taken us some time to increase international interest in LIM
It's a fast smooth track with no hills Ane the weather's looking good. So we might have a chance for some fast times in a UK marathon for a change |
