Registration Fee is £25 Marathon £20 Half £6 Minis until 9pm Thursday.
Plus £5 chip hire whch is refundable on the return of the chip.
After Thursday they go up to £30 marthon, £25 Half and £8 Mini.
After that you pay on the day registration fee up until 10.30am as we don't the hold ups we had last year as people need to get back for work Monday. Also no number swopping.
At the moment the entries for the marathon sit at around 10-12 which is pretty sad for national championship and with the additonal cost of racehead likely to lose in the region of £800. FISS where unable to assist with this cost so unless I get around 14 more marathon entries this week, there will be no event next year. Mini races look good though.
So if you are planning to skate, please get your skates on and enter!!
Any queries this week I'll try and answer via this forum.
Thanks |

Whoops Sorry Jill, I've made all my plans - train, hotel etc but forgot to enter. The forms for Helen and me have now been posted together with payment. Should be with you on Tuesday. |

Starts have been accurately measured today @ 42km and 21km, & the track is looking good for some fast times.
By the shortest route the track is 1585m, so Marathon wil be 26.5 laps and half 13.25. James Ashby looks promising for a record attempt in the half marathon.
Track can be slippy when wet but dries quickly. There won't be a race clock as budget doesn't allow, so bring a watch of you want to keep an eye on your splits during the race.
Watch out for the squirrels, they were out in force today!
See you guys Sunday |

James should be interesting. I'm surprised he is still racing cadets this year. I know he is eligible but there is a distinct lack of competition. or people for him to race with. Then again there is a lack of competition in Juniors too since Matt C-W raced solo at Spalding.
I hope we get a good selection of Junior boys there on Sunday. After all there are 3 medals to be won and Matt Price has moved up to senior a year early so he can't race in juniors in the marathon. |

From the messages on this thread it seems that 16 of us are going to be skating the full marathon - (Helen is down for the half)
How many of us are there Saturday evening? What times are you arriving. Maybe we could meet up for a Preston pasta meal - there's a nice Italian restaurant in the town centre - unless, that is, you prefer black pudding and tripe |

| We (me, Fred, Gill, Fede and Tammy) arrive sometime in the early evening I hope. Pasta party would be great. When are you there Ray, and are you also in the Ibis? |

| We're arriving by train mid-afternoon and staying in the town centre (Ashwood Hotel) I think the Ibis is about three miles north of the town centre. |

| Myself Natasha, Dan and perhaps one other will be Ibising, and I think the meal sounds like fun, hell I may even stay off the sauce for a night. |
