This is still in the VERY early planning stages but you guys are such a big part of Goodwood Roller Marathon we have to check with you
The proposed date for Goodwood Roller Marathon 2007 is 29th July!?
Comments please...
1) Importantly, does it clash with anything (I notice you have European Championships Jul 23-29 in the diary!)
2) And less importantly but still worth knowing, is it the right time of year for you? |

I'm a little concerned about it clashing with the Euros from a BIC point of view. Although we only send 3 or 4 skaters to the Euros I'm pretty sure they would all like to compete in a BIC. However there is a chance of a 4th event which would mean us allowing a discard of one event with the best 3 to count.
If you are stuck for dates then fine. I thought it was moved to July last year because of a double booking in June or something. We moved the LIM to get away from Goodwood last year as in 2005 it was the week before LIM then Goodwood got moved to be a week before again this year.
I am looking to move the LIM date too this year. We annouced it as probably 5th August, but the organisers of the Swiss Inline Cup have arranged for one of their marathons to be moved from early June to 4th August this year meaning we have a clash with one in which some key UK racers, and quite a few we'ld like to attract from overseas, will be racing in. We haven't booked anything yet. |

So just out of interest (no promises) what would be your ideal date? |

| It seeems it didn't move then. Not a problem for most of us who aren't competing in the Euros. Will have to see if I can get a sanction for the BIC now. It may mean all the more chance for others to amass enough points to take a podium. |

| Yup sorry, the date worked for us and Goodwood Motor Circuit without clashing with much bigger things. |
