Hi there, i'm a member of the London Roller Girls.
We are looking to improve our speed skating (on quads) and for someone to perhaps spend a session with us teaching us some better technique etc.
I was told to come & ask in here (from Rick).....to put this question forward to Adrian Wordsworth.....
So i don't know if you could help us with this or if you could maybe put us in touch with someone who could, but if so that'd be great.
Thanks

| I was thinking more of Tony than Adrian if he is interested but suggested Adrian as a point of contact. Not many people left in the game round these parts that have raced quads and can coach. |

Nice to have you on line Bec,
One question I had for you is - where do you guys train - we are always looking for better places to train - particularly interested in indoors (we currently don't have a place) or somewhere you can practice cornering.
Perhaps you can ask Adrian whether it would be worthwhile for you to come to the Tatem sessions - I understand that he used to skate quads and perhaps some of the drills could be easily adapted.

Thanks for the reference Rick.
I can coach quads, as I raced quads in the 70's, 80's and 90's right up to British Champion & world championship level as a member of the national team, before the switch to inlines.
I would be happy to help out at one of the London Roller Girls training sessions, to give some advice on improving speed & technique.
Bec - please let me know when you'd like to set this up - would it be at one of your evening indoor sessions ? Let me have some dates and I'll see what I can do.
Adrian
Glen - have a look at the Roller Girls website for details of where they train. |
