Some of use appear to have agreed to be in a team while on the Flaeming skate camp. Nobody was drunk at the time but perhaps a little high on painkillers. So who was it again? Are we able to register?
I think it was Andy, George, Dave, Garan and me but I can't remember. Anyway, just confirming my interest....
....and enjoying the Google translation of the site. Apparently, "KiKa aid in the fight against childhood" |

Seems somebody forgot me there Definitely in, event is already booked in Diary.
Last update I have is that Andy contacted the RAPS organizers if we could still enter a team. So I suggest we sit tight for now and wait for him to come back with the answer. |

Hm, Rick - seems you have forgotten about your table neighbours totally.
I said I might come as a pit crew. If this event actually turns out to happen for a LSST team I need to swop my vacation around a little bit as I have no days left. But I am still tempted to do it.
Greetings

What a Londonspeedskaters team on the Raps24! Hmmm I was thinking about skipping it for this year. But beating the Londonteam might be nice.
On the other hand.. .We had planned that for Le Mans. |

Hi, AJ. We'll leave the competition element to Le Mans I think. This would be appearance #1 at the Raps24 for us (except maybe Andy???) so we wouldn't be very optimal. Oh yeah and I am on the team so it's not going to be about speed. Happy for any advice you "old timers" can give us to help ease the learning curve though
BTW have you seen our endurance team for Le Mans? I am hopeful of a podium there and possibly for George in the Solos too after seeing him at work in Flaeming complaining that leading the line was not working him hard enough. He is a machine! |

I only did one Raps24 on the FlevoOnIce location.
Two things I learned last year:
Make sure the tent is not on the inside of the 400m rink on on one of the lower parts of the field if there is a possibility of rain. Last year the water inside the tent was 5-5 inches high. Beside the location don't forget to bring all the lines to secure the tent. The wind can be quite strong.
No need for rain wheels on this circuit. Yellow matters worked great. Even in the pouring rain.
On the skating, no difficulties. All flat/great tarmac. |

It sure is!!!
Hi Guys!
As we speak I'm making up the list for our Raps24KiKa team.
As far as I know the "LondonSkaters Speed Team" team of 6 (cause it's 6 in, not 5 ) are:
- Merten
- Garan
- George
- Rick
- Dave
- myself (Andy)
please correct me if I'm wrong...
I'll see if I can get us in without having the full data on every single teammember, but I will need it very soon anyway so please PM me your:
- full name
- full adress
- date of birth
- email adress
- mobile phonenumber (incase I need to get in touch quickly, will not be given to Raps organisation)
I'll front the 250 Euro to get us in and am happy to get it back (40 Euro pp) on the day, but... since it's a charity event for KiKa more money is very welcome! As far as I can remember the ILSE team I was in last year managed to talk themselfs , friends, collegues and family into giving a total of about 600 Euro (could have been more, I'm not sure).
AJ, can you believe it took exactly 5 minutes to get a team together? From idea to having 5x "I'm most deffo in!" And I even told them how crappy the weather was last year...
Cheers,
Andy. |

I'm sure it was that, it must have been.
And I'm sorry not to skate for ILSE this time, still hope you're going to get a team together and see you there! |
