Can anyone recommend a good, reasonably priced, distance/speedo/+ more info monitor for cycling?

I have the following:

I then bought this one in order to be more aware of my cadence:

Both are wireless, so no cables to mess about with.  Depends on what level of monitoring you want to do, I think either of the above should be fine, if you just want basic controls).
Note that if you're cycling in the evening, neither are any good for real time monitoring as there's no back light.

Mine's a cateye too, though an older model that I don't think is made any more: the Astrale 8.  It's wired (I don't trust this wireless stuff) with the sensor on the back wheel, so works on the turbo trainer as well

Decathlon do some that work just fine. Do not do any thing amazing and you would want to stick the the wierd ones but fint and work just fine...

I have a wireless Strada and a wireless Micro. The later was part of a deal that I picked up from Cycle Surgery: two lights + computer for £50. Sweet.

Although cheaper I prefer the Micro: better controls and a backlight.

Only issue with the wireless side of things so far is that the range is possibly too good; if you have the computer in your pocket it will still pick up the transmissions from the sensor. This will either be a "feature" or an annoyance depending on how you look at it.
