Anyone have suggestions of good places to live if you work at Carnary wharf? Shouldn't
be too far away and a reasonably nice neighbourhood. I have to find a place reasonably quickly, after which I'll be coming to train with you guys. (Moving over from Holland).

Obviously, canary wharf is one option Smile

There's a few nice places around docklands - and some places you really need to avoid. It also depends on what else you plan on doing around London as there are some places that are reasonably accessible to Canary Wharf that are equally accessible to the rest of London.

I mainly want it to be reasonably easy to get to work. I don't mind travelling
a bit to other places.

I'd be interested to know the places to avoid. And the good places of course.
I'd appreciate your opinion, my E-mail address is kim@kiwiclan.com.

I used to live further down the Isle of Dogs, on Tiller Rd., 10min on foot to CW. The entire Island is reasonably OK to live on (if a tad expensive), just make sure you don't get something opposite one of the old council estates.
Or you could try South towards Greenwich (DLR link) or east towards Royal Docks (loads of new developments), again with a direct link into CW

Good luck! Cool

Thanks for all your comments. I think I'll just checkout the whole E14 area for now.

Lot's of possibilies on the Dockland Light Railway and a few on the Jubilee line. Not that sure of the qualities of the neighbourhoods but have friends around Canada Water/Rotherhithe and Lewisham. Prices are pretty high at the moment in the Docklands area. There is a lot of housing there but it tends to be a rather quiet area away from work times so I don;t know if it has much atmosphere. Maybe better looking at south of the river like the two above or Greenwich and Wapping.

Actually, I've just come back from London and I've changed my mind. I think I'll go for in the area of Fulham to get as bit of life after work. I'm able to cycle to work apparently.
