So when folks go to Richmond Park what direction do you choose and does it differ if you are on two or eight wheels.
I did a few laps today on my way back from Twickers and opted for anti clockwise but wondered if clockwise might be a better work out. |

Either/both on skates ( doing the loop that goes past the ballet school ).
On a bike you probably want to do a bigger loop, it seems to me most go anti-clockwise. |

As you know, anti-clockwise on any sort of loop in the UK generally means less need to worry about crossing lanes when turning.
I've only ever done anti-clockwise across the three loops in Richmond Park.
Some have done clockwise skating / cycling when doing hill specific training, but that's never the full loop, just repeats of a section.
There is the 3 lap challenge that cyclists do (3 laps solo as fast as you can), and generally that's done anti-clockwise. |

Yes this is what I figured but I noticed quite a few strong cyclist going the other way, it may be there were plenty others going in my direction but just maintained an equal distance between us.
On the full circuit I think the climb is more severe going clockwise.
So 3 laps in under an hour is I think a 20.4mph average speed which is not of the question, has anybody on here recorded a time? |

I would be ecstatic to get a solo run in under an hour, but think it's currently out of my reach...I think Matthew has achieved this, probably Gav too.
When you've done one, you can compare yourself here:

| Counter-clockwise of the inner loop is a closer approximation of the Le-Mans lap, having a climb near the start, then gradual flat/downhill for the rest of the lap (starting from the Golf club car park). |

| Funnily enough I was just looking at that list, depending on tomorrows weather I might roll down there and see where I am/how much I have to do to break the hour. |
