A couple of us are planning a ride on Wednesday morning - starting about 9am and finished by 1-2pm latest! Plenty of time to sleep and rest before any evening activities.
Exact distance, location will be decided tomorrow (depending on who says they are interested) - but at the moment it is a medium paced ride. |

what location and time for start?
I'm not 100% certain I'll be able to make it, but I'm gonna try. |

Hmm. I just installed the new crankset on my bike today
Mind you, 9am is a bit of a stretch for me anyway... |

Ok Cobham route. Suggest we get the 09.33
Plenty of trains
Depart 09:33 10:03
Arrive 10:11 10:41
Return fare £7.30 but if four of us get group save we only pay for two

Retrun 1208 or 1308 depending on how people feel. |

Just Tanya and I in the end.
It wasn't as cold as I thought it was going to be. We managed about 1hr and 45 mins worth of cycling until I got a puncture - decided to call it a day after that and we sorted out the wheel on the ride home.
It's a nice route - some nice downhills and not so nice uphills
Thanks Tanya! |

It was only about 30km in the end (and 5 short of the official finish, so next time ed you won't need to let the air out of the tire early!!)
nice quick route and despite the ice it wasn't too cold |

Ah, you forget the bonus mileage for the hills - so by my reckoning, it was about 60km.
And had I known the hassle of changing the inner tube, I wouldn't have feigned the puncture. |

So wanted to come and join you but had to sit at home and work all day
Sorry to hear about the punctures but let me tell you, there is NO such thing as puncture proof tyre - it will get everyone in the end so make sure you learn how to change a tube in the comfort of your home before it gets you out on the road in wind and rain
and if you need some tips..... ask Dan, he is an absolute expert |
