I'll be doing intervals at Richmond at 10am if anyone wants to join me (weather permitting).

Unless there is an indoor session?

Yeah I was thinking of popping there on Sat morn. too.

How are you thinknig of doing the intervals?

e.g. hard then stopping for recovery?  or continual cruising with sprints added in?

I wouldn't mind just banging it up and down the flatter section as I need to work on my straight line technique, but I'm not unhappy to go up the hill ( during a hard/sprint phase, rather than a recovery phase! Razz  )

As it'll be prep for Berlin and Oxford to Cambridge I wasn't  going to stop completely.

I'm pretty flexible as to where/what; my only requirement is a punishing workout. I've never actually been to Richmond park so if you're up for it I'll just skate wherever you think best.

The small loop is (was.. ) all good IMO.

So it just depends whether you want to do the hill or not, makes the work-out harder, but obviously with less fast-cruisey practise ( which itself should be good for Berlin I'd have thought, as it's pretty much flat ).

Just to ensure a good workout I'd be inclined (get it?) to tackle the hill. It can't be any worse than London to Windsor. If you have a preference though I'm happy to go with that.

I don't mind that much... I've a small preference to spend more time skating than climbing, for my technique*, but I'm happy enough to go up the hill if you want more emphasis on fitness work ( also no/less traffic on that stretch, and, of course, the downhill! ).

( I'd like to think that Ben H's speed epiphany at Le Mans was due to the previous flat session we did at Richmond.  It's not true, at all, but still makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside Laughing )

Weeeeeee... Looking forward to it... or maybe I'm just on a sugar rush... A Mars a day helps you work, rest and go mental for 10mins...

Finger's crossed for the weather.

* last Tatem session showed it up again, skating with Diego, I was struggling to hold him on the straights at an acceptable effort level.

Very unlikely.

I think I will be having a lie in and a day with the missus.

Sunday on the other hand...

The flat it is then. Where is the flat exactly?

Well, let's meet at the car park by Roehampton Gate and see how it goes.

Maybe do a warm up lap aruond the circuit and then decide?

Sounds good - weather permitting I'll see you there then, but it doesn't look great. I'll get up and make a call based on the radar at 0800.

OK, I live pretty close, so I'll check and post when I get up ( somewhere between 8 and 9... )

What time will you be leaving home?

Yeah, it's almost dry here now, but the sky already looks a bit ominous.
