So I'm definitely going to be going up to Sheffield to go watch some ice skating. There's a premier travel inn just down the road (the one opposite the arena only has a few rooms left, but if there aren't many of us and we're quick, we could get in there) which works out at £25 per person per night if you're sharing.
Program is:
Fri 4 - 10pm
Sat 12:30 - 6pm
Sun 1 - 6pm
I'm thinking of going up friday evening, not nec. to watch then, but so I can be there early Sat AM and hopefully go for a ride on my bike training out into the country.

Apparently the ice rink is about 4 miles out of Sheffield itself, and 1 mile away from massive shopping centre. |

Vaugly thinking of this... Should be a sub 4 hour drive.
Wonder if we could get any ice time? Either public (possible) or training (unlikley) |

there is a public ice rink (unless it's closed down) walking distance from the centre of sheffield.... Think its out near City Road..
Apparently all the decent clubs are now out near the arena too.. so take your dancing shoes? |

| Is anyone keen to come with me? I want to organise accommodation, and at the moment only have negative reponses... |

I may now be going to this but on Sunday I am officiating at a race meeting in Southport or somewhere. So I'll be driving up Saturday and staying at Jill's on Saturday night so if anyone wants a lift it'll be one way.
Everyone still going now Gav has broken himself again? |
