Just got the invitation for a speedskating weekend on Nordstrand, 07/08 May 2005. The weekend will feature a recreational "nature-seeing" 16 KM family skate (Saturday), a team time trial marathon (Saturday, teams 3-7 people), and a conventional marathon (Sunday).
I am not sure if LSST would be allowed to race the team time trial, but will try to find out if some folks are interested.
Fees:
Team Marathon 20 EUR per team member
Normal Marathon 25 EUR / 15 if also doing the Team marathon.
family skate: 2,50 EUR
Timing is ChampionChip for the marathons, no timing on the family skate.
Where is Nordstrand (Blue pin top left part of the map):

Anybody up for that? If you have more questions, feel free to ask. |

Another marathon on 8 May? It sure is certainly a popular day to stage a marathon in Germany.
We are already booked for a marathon in Duesseldorf; there is also a marathon in Hannover that some LSST members may be doing, and there is a marathon in Hamburg! |

There is lots of weekends where more than one race takes place. This weekend is crowded though. Seems that the organizers of the different regional races did not or could not work out a better schedule.
I am also undecided so far, but will not do Düsseldorf. |
