Hi Alex,

There's these: http://www.eastbourneskaters.co.uk/

Not really a speed team but they will know where to skate.

they are a nice bunch, a bit too free-style but you may be able to get a lift to the Goodwood marathon or similar that is closer your way.

Looking at their site, they seem to have a speed team, it might only be recent, but that's a good start.

It's not exactly a speed team. They are recreational racers...like a lot of us who get together to enter things like Goodwood and Le Mans. They coach themselves and practice together, a bit like we did back in 2002/3. They are a good crowd though. If you take your racing seriously then you are going to be a bit disappointed. On the other hand they might want to take themselves more seriously but don't know how so maybe you can gee them up a bit and get them to LIM and a couple of other overseas races like Berlin and such.

LE MANS 24hr Race- July 2009

The ESA entered a team at the prestigious event at the Le Mans 24hr race track. This was the first time that the ESA competed at this event. The event attracts proffesional teams throughout the world. Our team was one of four representing the UK.

Only four teams from the UK last year? I really though there were more than that.

I think they only count themselves and LSST as 'proffesional'

Forgive my ignorance Rick - what does this mean? I'm guessing affiliation with FISS?

No, just how many you classify as 'proffesional' vs professional

The don't actually say that they class themselves as a professional team, just that there are professional teams there.  I assume by 4 UK teams they mean, Eastbourne, London, Nottingham and Camberley.

In my head all Le Mans blend into one, but I was sure Camberley didn't go last year, so I had a poke about on their forum and it looks like they didn't go.
