Do you guys know, any speed skate competition, marathon, half marathon, 1 mile 2 mile 3 mile, any, should be better near london.

Have a look around the "Events" section of this forum. There is a 45 min + 3 laps event tomorrow (not in London though). Apart from that, some other events in the UK:
- London Inline Marathon (organized by LSST) every year around summer
- Goodwood marathon
- A good amount of indoor and outdoor track race meetings, e.g. in Tatem Park.
Normally travel is organized on the forum as well.
