Yeah, Matt did awesome today. It was excellent fun, really enjoyed it. I was way off the pace in the 500m, but better in the 3000m. The corners were very tricky and a combination of technique and experience were my undoing!! Embarassed

I think it was more the lack of experience. In training you would beat me by far in the 3000m and would still be close behind in the 500m. Its the overtaking and tactical awareness that you need and these sorts of races are where you gain them from.

Still you did better than I did in my first cat 2 race (I think I finished second from last overall) and you are showing good potential. It was a tough cat 2 race because they were all the juniors and cadets and there were no older Birmingham lads to have an advantage on on the corners.

The race was on the tv on monday but i missed it but i heard it was good dont suppose anyone saw it did they? well done at the weekend everyone!!!!!
