It's impossible that given the course and conditions that my time is accurate. It's highly likely that we had another lap to do and we finished prematurely.
My back and legs are still aching from Sunday. |

- Hans, Eric, David and I stayed together at all time, and passed the line together.
- Eric is 64 but is identified by his number only.....(43979)
- Duracell did an extra lap and his result does not show at 1:41:24 which means that the timing system chip was totally confused or did not work.
- The girls went well...Congrat! but it seems that the organisation did not spot that they did only 3 laps though.... that's crap.
It seems that the time was keept by the chip itself rather than a centralised system.... I guesss The "mats" would send a signal to reset and start the counting and the finish mat would send a "stop" signal...
It was a nice team race, and I am sorry to learn if it was too fast, but I share only 1/4 of the responsability of that (In the downhill I was behind as usual)
Now the annoying bit : need to clean up the skates......

The timing system seems a little odd. I started my heart monitor when the gun went off and stopped it on the finish line. I had 2:04 mins on the watch. My timing chip registered a time of 2:03 which matched my watch. So it appears that the chip started on the gun and not when passing a mat. As I started at the back of the crowd, it took us about 5 mins to actually start skating so the chip time is a little inacurate. |

Actually this is right.
2:04 is your brut/gross time (gun to finish mat)
2:03 is your net time (mat to mat)
It is correct to have gross greater than net time.
One minute difference seems raisonnable. |

Hi all, just introducing myself first. I'm Daryl from Bristol and was also in the Tunnel Race on Sunday. It was great fun, despite the somewhat nasty weather - i'm glad that we spent most of our time in tunnels !! It was great to meet a couple of you from London anyway.
The timing was definitely messed up, if you look at the split timings (http://www.tunnelloppet.se/menurutor/resultat.htm); you can see that some people only completed 3 laps and their position is completely wrong. Take position 82, after the 3rd lap, they were in 568th position and yet they are placed 82nd overall - pretty damn quick last lap !!! Maybe they'll fix it when they issue the final results on Friday !
Still, I was pleased with my time of 2:13:36 for my first marathon, despite lack of training ! It was so much fun though, that hopefully sometime I'll get to practice with you all in London.
A quick off topic question - are the weekend meetings weather dependant, or do you still go out in the rain ?

I shall put my pics from Stockholm up in our Gallery some time this week, at least I promise I'll try.
Still have 2 wheels which can turn unaided... and a pair of Eddy socks ruined... |

Sorry for replying so late.
A the moment the meetings are rather weather and persons dependant.
You should definitly check the trainnings forum section (or events) to find out. We shall very soon issue weekly updates to club members. |

Thanks. The photos were taken (apart from the one at the german eatery) by Marion though.
[It was after my frame got fixed by two super-handymen from the Globen actually...] |

| I have added a skate tool for my marathon kitbag though - if you'd had one when we saw you, maybe you could have fixed it earlier. |

I tried the allen key under the skinsuit, but I'd have needed the big t-shaped Salomon tool which is kinda big. Although with our zipped back pocket it could be a solution. Would have helped in my case. An awful lot... Nevermind.... |
