Just booked my flight:
RyanAir out on Saturday at 08:35 to Skavsta Airport for 11:40
Return Sunday 20:55 arriving at Stanstead @ 22:10
I will be driving up and dumping the car in Long Stay if anyone wants to share trasnport and costs by booking the same flights. You can book a cheaper return as the skate starts at 08:30 and the previous flight is some time in the afternoon but I thought I would get a nice meal in Stockholm since I have never been before.

I am booked into the floating hotel that Wout has booked onto:

Ok I booked my flight tonight with Ryanair (£36.00 inc. taxes).
Stansted to Stockholm Vasteras, leaving on the 16/10, back on the 18/10.

I've also booked my entry to the race. I'll be in group C1.
Cost was SEK 450.00

Looks like there will be quite a large london contingent. Me and 5 friends are also going. Managed to get our tickets for free after problems with trying to pay them.

Cool. Do you know what your starting block is?

(For that matter, which block are you in, Rick?)

I'm not sure what block we are in now, we were in C11 (I think) when I originally tried to buy the tickets, but now we have complimentary tickets we could be anywhere.

You may still be able to join this, if you thought it sounded interesting, but haven't got around to booking anything.

Ryanair have a sale on until this Friday. (No discount ticket from Rick required. Wink )
My flight over early on Saturday morning was only 25 pence plus taxes. Flight back Sunday was a bit more expensive, but the total fare was still only £45.57 - you could get the same fare coming over Saturday evening if you didn't want to sightsee, or about £7 more to go over on Friday evening...

Flights: www.ryanair.com
Info: www.tunnelloppet.se/english/ (to book tickets, click on the 'Enter to race' button at the top right)
Floating hotel / hostel: http://www.rygerfjord.se/page_en/index_en.htm (Phone:+46 8 84 08 30 to book)

My flights:
FR 682 Stansted 06:40 - Stockholm Vasteras 09:55 Saturday 16 Oct
FR 685 Stockholm Vasteras 22:15 - Stansted 22:30 Sunday 17 Oct

9:55 is a much more civilised time than my 8:30 but Vasteras is something like half of Sweden away from Stockholm or something. I checked it out quite thoroughly when I went for the other airport at Skavsta (Nykoeping)

I'm arriving/departing from Arlanda airport which is about 20 minutes from the centre of Stockholm (43Km away). Just as well as my flight leaves at 15:40 on Sunday...
