Guys,
Twickenham CC is running The Surrey Rumble Sportive again this year, on Sun 6 March.
There are 2 routes to choose from, 57 or 77 miles.
Here's the website with all the details: http://www.surreyrumble.co.uk/
It's only £10 to enter, but you have to be quick! Last year we opened entry on Fri and filled up by Sun!
Entry is open as of today! |

Has anyone registered for this yet? I could be interested. Might go for the shorter route though (assuming there are still places) |

+1.
There's no option to choose which distance, I guess that can be decided on the day?
Think I'll go for the shorter one |

Should be under "David Whitehead".
I've been looking at train options, am I right in assuming the best rail station is Effingham?
If so, train times from Waterloo are 0620, arriving at just before 0800, or 0800 arriving at 0850.
Is arriving late, and therefore starting off late ok, or do you need to "sign in" by a certain time? |

Ah yes, have seen his name on the list. Did wonder why it looked familiar!
Sign in starts at 9 and there's usually a queue so an 8.50 arrival at Effingham is fine. There's no sign-in by certain time that I'm aware of. If you arrive at 8 you might a) get cold from standing around and b) might get roped into helping with something if I'm at the HQ |

Ah cool - I read that the first group are due to set off at 9am, but perhaps that's just a ploy to ensure people are punctual...just like the Saturday morning club rides
Will aim for the 0850, not because I don't want to help, but because it means I get some extra zzzz |
