As long as it's dry, I'll be there. Looking at the BBC broadband forecast it look's like it's going to be close!
I am going to put together a training plan and post it in the week's topic. |

I will definitely be making Tatem a regular this season - weather and work permitting.
Tuesdays preferable for me - there generally less busy than a Thursday and will give us some time to recover into the weekend. |

Start positions and lap counts for Tatem Park
Ran this up today since the ones FISS had seem to have disappeared or not been distributed. They were also incorrect as the 300m start was listed somewhere near the 800m. This one is pretty close. I have sent it to FISS to be issued to for club races there.
The 300m and 15k lines are not marked on the circuit. The 300m start position is approximate it may be slightly more central on the bend. It would be good to know because 300m individual time trials are part of the British champs in Birmingham so you can practice the distance. However, it isn't easy to start on the steep part of the banking so for training we could probably better simulate it by starting at the 800m start line, doing a lap and finishing at the 3km start line which is 303m. |

| 300m isn't the official distance anymore? I believe it's 200m sprints from now on isn't it? |

| Used to be 200. Went up to 300 last year (or 2004) and all new records set. Are they going back? Nobody tells me anything. 200 is easier to record as it means only 1 electronic eye is required (on a proper track) and 2 passes. |

Well its actually both... it changes every year, I think its because we don't do a separate road and track national championships, so by switching between 300m and 200m we get a chance to do both distances!
This year the Time Trial is 200m and will be at Tatem!
Cheers

| 200m at Tatem will need a different finish line or you will be starting on the middle of the banking which is rather hard. There is also no 200m start line there. I'd suggest measuring back 27m from the finish line well 3m for the 20k start line and making that the finish then start at the normal finish line. |
