I'm itching (probably due to mosquito bites) to get back on my skates and tomorrow looks as good a day as any (well except for today).
Who's coming?
I'll be looking to take the train up. |

I'll be there - will be my last Tuesday for a few weeks as going on leave next Tuesday morning, so yes, likewise pretty keen to have a good session.

| I'm in, but don't laugh if I'm wearing slalom boots and 100mm wheels. I have a massive blister from my speed skates and I can't get my compeed to stay put! Probably on the 1800 |

Do you warm it up before you slap it on? I rub it for about a minute, apply, then rub for another a minute.
You can also use some zinc / micropore tape to hold it in place.
Is the missus coming too? Her new skates look nice...good job sir! |

Let's talk about it next time you are at training, especially since your skates are fairly new it is important to understand the cause of the blisters/pressure points let's try to fix the root cause as soon as possible. |

@ED
Would it be alright if I bought her along? She's uber keen and surprisingly quick. If not tomorrow then next week for sure.

Thankfully I think it was just a crease in my cheapo neoprene bootie that I stupidly didn't notice until it was far too late. I heat moulded on Sat and apart from that one problem they were the most comfortable they've ever been. |

Agree with Fred about the boots...you don't want the infamous speedskaters 2nd ankle
Shona should definitely come along and try it out to see if it's something she feels she could benefit from - don't forget a helmet! |

Great! - Providing that something horrible doesn't come up at work at the last minute she's in. |

Fred's stuck in a meeting tonight so he won't be able to make it. I'm not allowed to skate until after the wedding now!
Can someone post a list of everyone who makes it tonight? |
