Sorry I didn't post this sooner. I have not been at home with my post for the last two weeks.
Entries to:
Team Verducci
25 Badger Lane
Grange Park
Northampton
NN4 5DH
Closing date for advance entries is 23rd April.
All Races are £2.50 so £10 if you want to race at all levels
Cat 1 races 1500m and 5000m
Cat 2 races 1000m and 3000m
Cat 3 races 1000m and 2000m
Cat 4 races 800m and 1500m
Cat 5 races 500m and 1000m
Special races
Cat 5 2000m "Little Devil"
Cats 3 & 4 3000m "Little Devil"
Cats 1 & 2 5000m Keith Lee Boot Devil
All Cats Inter-Category Knockout
The last race is about the funniest thing I have ever seen it is a two person heat elimination handicap race. With competitors drawn randomly. It is fun to participate in and even more fun to watch the cat 5 littluns racing against the cat 1s sometimes.
It is at Birmingham Wheels Adventure Park near Aston Science Park. Directions available later to those that haven't been. It is the nicest track in the country - 200m long smooth shallower banking than Tatem and tighter turns.
I will be officiating on the day so lifts available to the first 4 in my car but since it is out west you need to come to me rather than me come in and get you. People are welcome to stay overnight at my house so you don't need to get up too early. Plenty of spare beds.
Don't forget to take your FISS cards and race numbers with you. |

| I think you are a cat 3/4 We can discuss with the officials on the day. Can you do a timed 500m of Tatem Park from a standing start? It can help if you've got someone to race against. You can do it as many times as you like but if you get under 1m05s on a dry non-windy day you are cat 3. Under 0:58 and you are looking at getting into cat 2 over 1:14 and cat 5. Times are not exact but that should give you a good idea. |

Got loads of spaces. I can pick up from Southall station (zone 4) from Paddington and I may be able to drop off in town.
Can also pick up from Piccadilly line - Osterley |

Got the preregistered list of racers - over 50 trying to get a few more to the the knockout so they don't have to bye too many though the first round. Would be good to get close to 64. To help out I have volunteered to be thrashed again in the knockout though I have been downgraded to cat 4, I assume due to poor performances on the track, my injury and an over full cat 3. Daryl may come along and I hope he will join FISS there and race the knockout. Be warned he did a 500m at Tatem yesterday in 54.2s and he thought that was bad.
Naomi you have been put in the cat 4s so I expect you to kick some arse if you stay focussed. AlastairJ you are still there too so I think you will do very well.
Who is coming in my motor? I have offered a lift to Daryl if he wants to come. That still leaves 3 spaces Naomi? Alastair? Erika? That would be all of us as I assume Hans, Farhana, Natasha and Gav are all travelling together.
Anyone thinking of a late registration? David, Kate, Tom, Ray? |

Sorry guys - not going to this one. I intend to be relaxing/sleeping in an alcohol-fuelled daze all weekend.
......................either that or drowning my sorrows! |

| Fred, are you licensed in France? If so, is defn possible to just get a day pass from FISS. If not, I'm sure we can organise anyway. |
