I'd be up for something. Do you have a route in mind?

I think we will go cycling on Sunday, but there is an Audax on Saturday from near Saffron Walden that I can recommend.
See http://www.aukweb.net/cal/index.htm for details - the trains to Elsenham are good for either the 150km (9:30) start or 100km (10:30) start. Its not far from Elsenham - about 10-15 minutes on the bike.
The 100km route, as far as I can remember, is mostly very quiet and fairly flat. I think they generally do a figure of 8 loop, so that you can stop for tea and cakes half way around, if you are so minded. |

(basically need to be washed and at barbican for latest 5pm)
So Tom / Andy happy with either suggestion both cool! |

I will be in bed Saturday, cos I am cycling Friday night
Yes I know CTC rides don't count as training, but Ditching Beacon at dawn is fun anyway |

Beware - the route is cursed...it gave me a puncture within a few km of finishing. |

Liverpool Street.
Stortford is in flint country. I think spare tubes would be an idea for both rides. |
