According to the site, the profiles vary, uphill and downhill.
And the profile graphics look like Engadin is nothing

Stages page says mostly up for the Alps
These guys are insane. There's no date for it so maybe it's just a concept but it seems to be one of those things you say in the pub after a few and then should have laughed about afterward rather than made a web page to show how drunk you were. |

| There is a date, it's somewhere on the website. Think it's something like 8-27 Aug |

Ah yes on the stages page.
Climbing that much in August is a deathwish. |

Climbing 1700m on skates is a deathwish at any time of year as far as I'm concerned. As for descending 2000m, I'm not even going to comment |

| Looks like the vetran lady that sol races is doing it ... I guess she won't be too focused on marathons this year then. |

| Just as an example, I was on a week long hiking holiday in Alpes d'Huez in August a decade ago. A very serious cyclist came with us for the week, not to hike, just to do the "21 bends". Flew his bike over with him. He did it 3 times in the week. The first time he was not aclimatised to the altitude at the top (6,800ft) but in all other respects he was fresh. He did it in the afternoon and it took him 5 hours. He said it was the heat more than anything that made him slow. Sweat was just pouring off him. To prove his point to himself, a couple of days later he got up very early to do it before breakfast. He went sub 3 hours. When nearly full recovered later in the week he managed about 2 hours. It takes about 40 minutes in a minibus so 2 hours was brilliant. I don't think they are going the whole distance as the day with Alpes d'Huez also has Deux Alpes and it's only pencilled in as 25km. |

Nah that's not who you're thinking it is I don't think. You're thinking Christine. Besides looks like she's one of the organisers, no |

I see that an (allegedly) EPO assisted Pantani rode it in 37m35s - and that would have been after a fair few hours in the saddle before starting the climb. |
