I will train in Hyde Park tonight starting at 5.45pm - I will do 1 hour of fairly hard skating - should cover about 25km.
This session would not benefit anyone going to Berlin but in case there's someone else out there who wants to come for a skate - then feel free to join me.
I will also train on Wed night same time - doing 2x12 minutes with slow/fast speed interchanges.

Hi Ed, yes I was going to head for the same time i.e. 5.45 - actually the session tomorrow would be alright for tapering for yuor Berlin race.
Warm-up 10 min
12min (1min fast, 1min slow)
6min rest
12min (1min fast, 1min slow)
Warm-down 10 min
if it makes any difference to you in terms of finishing work, i'd be happy to go a little later. |

| I'm more likely to go in the morning, so if you're plans change, let me know. Otherwise, enjoy trying to keep up with Speed demon Ed. |

| I'm (apparently) going to a death metal gig tonight. If I'm not horrendously hungover tomorrow I'll come along. |

Hi George - sorry for the late reply.
I'm hopeful to be skates on and ready to start at 6pm. Does that work for you? Where will you start from? |

It would have been but I'm not going to make it, as I have to go home and cook dinner for my husband. |

Ok let's go for 6pm start - meet at the beach. we'll just go up and down Serp Road as the session is quite suited for that. |

thanks for coming along Ed! hope you enjoyed it and that you got some good speed-feeling into your legs for Saturday
it does seem skating in Hyde Park in the evenings at high speed is more or less a time bomb in terms of having a collision with another skater/cyclist/child/dog on leash - something to keep in mind
it does suck that London is sometimes really limited for training options! |

well, there's always the mornings, when it's perfectly safe ... (but understand that doesn't work for you and yes, I agree with you, that limited skating opitions in central london does suck).
Great to see you both out today, I enjoyed the cycle with Matt B to the park and seeing you both working hard. |
