I had a bad encounter with a Taxi last Friday on the FNS and have twisted my left frame.
I'm really gutted as I was really happy with those skates.
On the saturday morning, I managed to put the frame a bit more straight using a big crow bar, but obviously it is not as good as new. None the less, I manage to skate 40 miles on them Sunday and it was fine (including a downhill at full blast 30+ mph and got a bit of speed wobble ).
I had a quick enquiery but I can only buy the frame in pairs which I'm not ready to do, yet. I'll try to contact Fila and see if they are willing to help me there.
Still gutted for that accident but at least I walked away from it. Bloody Taxi.

I finally managed to get my hands on some used replacement fila frames.
Got them for £100 from france, never used.
Those new frames are slightly different from my previous one and cure the issue I was having when putting microbearing wheels. On my old bent frame, I couldn't tighten the bolts properly or the wheels wouldn't turn. It is not an issue any more on the new one.
None the less, I'll keep the bent frame for normal skating and only use the straight one for racing or on track training.
me happy! |
