| Apparently the running track in Victoria Park is nice for skating on. I haven't been there yet (nor am I likely to have the chance this week) but is anyone else in the area who'd be up for some regular sessions there? |

| We used Victoria park as a venue a few years back. Parts of it are pretty good for skating on. However a complete loop is a bit difficult, especially if you want to keep a consistently high speed. |

| Victoria was (and hopefully will be soon again) my training ground for the last few months. the park is 4.5km in length but it is better to stay in the smaller loop of the park that is 1.5km (the one around teh lake) since you do not need to cross any road or even stop at all, the only negative point is that there is some speed bumps in 1/4 to 1/5 of the park but it is not too bothering. the surface itself is reasonably good, better than Richmond but not as good as SR, however there is not many pedestrians so overall i would recommend it. |

| The small loop was measured some time back I think there is a 1km option too. It does cross a small pathway which doesn't have the best visibility for when you cross it on the north side so it's not the best bit to skate fast around. There's free parking just outside and a few shops to get food/drink at and even a pub but the main entrance. |

| Yeah, and it's close to where I work so if we (at least one other + me) decide to train in the evening there I should be able to make it. |

It closes at night :-( - well, that's not so unexpected really, I suppose. Since I have the day off, I'll be going along tomorrow morning if I manage to get out of bed before lunchtime (afternoon is christmas shopping: yay; evening is Markus's FNS-replacement skate)
I want Santa to bring me an ultrasonic cleaner, I think. |

I'll bring mine along tonight, you're welcome to borrow it over Christmas. I think it's crap. |
