Time to get fit after Christmas. It's a week later than the weather but I hate skating in high winds anyway. I've been doing floor exercises, crunches and some upper body work for the past few weeks but I've also been eating some rubbish and drinking too much so here we go again.
All week - skating across town as part of my commute
Mon - Cinema
Tue - Route check
Wed - Rest
Thurday - Roller disco
Fri - LFNS
Sat - travelling north
Sun - Officiating Dunes race meet in Southport. Might do some loosening up exercises in the sports hall.
I can now declare my knee as about 98% fit and 100% fit for skating purposes so things are looking up.
This weekend I am going to do SS route check, should get to practice club and the stroll on Sunday. |

| RC on Tuesday and LFNS Friday is likely to be the only skating I meet anyone for this week. For the rest it's commuting to work and if I can motivate myself to I'll go for a LmediumpacedS around Regent's Park Monday night. |

Monday: rest (after Sunday's Hillingdon / Mike's speed class / Sunday Stroll)
Tuesday: spinning at Fitness First, Covent Garden? Or maybe routecheck? (Dan - when do you meet, and do you have a link to this week's routemap?)
[edit] Took my skates to work, but the routecheck was cancelled. So only badminton for Tuesday... [/edit]
Wednesday: Suicide Skate (must remember to fit a heelbrake - one downhill cost me a wheel last week)
Thursday: morning LMS?
Friday: LNFS

| RC is 8pm at Hyde Park Corner - i.e. same time same place as the skate itself. I don't know where it's going yet, but it's Markus to lead |

If I ever suggest that again, somebody please remind me just how mindblowingly tedious it is skating around the outer circle in the dark when it's windy and drizzling. It's mostly not even a nice surface.
The skate home afterwards was nearly as long (I took a new route, got lost), and far more interesting. |

Weather permitting, I should be in Hyde Park for an LSS on Friday morning at 8am. Take this at its unreliable best.
Alastair Upton will hopefully be there too. Woooo! |

Haven't seen AU for ages. He was the first person in the club to get customs after Gav. How things have changed. |
