Well.... sigh. Back at work. Suffering from '1st day back after holiday' blues.
What a fantastic, fantastic week for all of us who went. About 15 of us, along with about 35 lovely Germans (had to put that in for when they log in and check this topic ). I think everybody got what they wanted out of the camp, and I can't think of anyone who's sitting back in London today not going 'I wish I was still there'.
The weather was fair, altho a bit of rain and thunderstorms were in the air. Great practice for skating in the rain! Great skating along mainly perfect roads, lots of technique, and some video analysis too. Oh yeah, and a party or two
Some pics are up in the gallery, many more to come I'm sure

Thanks to everyone for an amazing time! Especially the Experts-In-Speed crew.

Several highlights
Fred emptying the supermarket of cioccolato 4 times. Three times with the same woman on the checkout.
Everyone's happy faces but especially Mike's happy face on Saturday night.
Sebby's quote of the week - "Nice hand job"
oh and Hans losing a wheel spinning challenge at the airport yesterday. |

Fantastic fun, loads of skating. I really had such a great time with all of you. The weather was pants some of the time, but we had quality time anyway.
What about the Gav and Sebby show? The highlight of all the bus trips.
LOL I was in a brilliant mood after the big skate. Thanks to you all for looking after me so nicely. Real friends and team mates you all are. |

Truly it was a great time. Sadly we're no longer there.
Highlights must be the Gav and Sebby Show, Sebby's (mis) understanding of English terms, and of course, the skating. |

Well I'm now back in university. Slept very well last night, after a long drive home.
I had an awesome week as well. Highlight being the "swimming lesson" on Saturday It seems my pictures somehow got lost when Sebby assembled the CDROM so I'll put them in the gallery soon. |

What an awesome week. I can't believe that it is already over.
It was so great to see you all again and have a week full of fun.
I hoped to improve my skills more, but maybe I will feel the effect after some weeks of dryland training. As it is snowing in Germany and my boots are still soaked wet there will be no skating for me for some time Well, I can say that I am no longer afraid of rainy weather - learned that much!
But I think that Merten and I will go again, maybe in March (let's hope for better) weather.
By the way: there was another good english sentence from a German guy (I will not say names now) when it was a really windy day: "Heave blow job today..."
I am really looking forward to meeting you all again (maybe in Le Mans or London next year?), it's cool to be introduced as one of the two Germans in the team.
Cheers
Michi |

LOL, Steffi commented on the wide spread of nationalities in the team. Have never done a poll but it's certainly interesting to have that cultural mix (plus we can read other forums in many languages and nab the best bits for LSST ). Vive la difference!
For me, the best bits were time spent on technique with Sebastian. The video review, and the improvement in my skating from last year is worth the fee alone. To have such a breadth of experience, to have met people from other teams, and to skate with coaches with such quality race experience (Patrick and Martin in the German national team, Steffi and Ricky are well up there in the women's races) was just the icing on the cake.
For anyone still dithering, beg, borrow, pimp or steal to get booked onto one of these camps. If you're still not convinced, wait till next summer when we're whizzing past you and then make up your minds |

OK, I've put a first set of pictures in the gallery now. There's some more to come next weekend once I got hold of Michi's camera. PM me pic numbers and your e-mail if you want full quality versions of individual shots.
If I did it right, the Album "Sardinia Nov 05" should be open for all gallery users to create sub-albums within as I did for me. So please do, I want more |

| OK, I have 130 Meg of photos that you may or may not want. As I only have 50 Meg of webspace available, I was thinking about using one of those file sharing web sites. anyone got any opinions on them at all? In spite of working with computers, I am woefully ignorant of such things. |
