Aim for 6.30pm, but I can't get there until around 7pm. So most people start their warm up before I get there so they are ready to get going by the time I arrive.

As the nights are getting shorter, we will be limited to how much time we have skating before it gets dark.

Hope to see you later......

Yep - I didn't even break a sweat in my single race. Laughing

That website doesn't appear to have a 'hire' option - are you buying one of those beasties, or are you just using a music bike?

Velorution.biz will rent them if you phone/email/visit: £40/day with electric assist (which, sadly, they didn't have) or £35 without.  Granted that you can get more in an Escort van, but you can't park an escort van on the pavement directly outside (either of my) flat(s)

I reckon it weighs as much unloaded as a fully laden music bike, though.  And that's before I filled it full of books

Another really helpful session, thanks Adrian and Gav.

Look forward to the Sunday winter sessions - let's hope we're lucky with the weather.

Correction - due to having to head to a client this afternoon I won't be able to make it to Tatem.

I am probably going to head down to Hyde Park for a gentle skate after 6:30 instead.

Sorry not to see anyone else at Richmond this am. Got clipped by a cyclist again today. Was on a straight flat section and had been at a fixed speed, stroke length and stroke cadence for ages, and yet the guy, who was on his own (a Dynamo rider) managed to hit my outside foot. No excuses really.

Others decide to pass very close in a pack, three abreast, forcing you to stop skating (again from Dynamo - not saying they are bad in particular, this is just perhaps because they are the most represented there on a weekend)

It can get annoying. if I change my skating at all, particularly from just gliding to stroking I always look behind, and yet people still seem not to give me any room. Having said that I had no problems with any of the car drivers, all very considerate today.
