I have been using a pair of custom Luiginos for a couple of years now, and tu put it simply they are the best pair of custom I have owned so far.
The noticeable difference is that when I put them on the first time they actually fitted me perfectly ( I should say almost as I had a very small adjustment to make as the top of the carbon was touching on my right foot, but that was easily solved.)
The model I have used is the Challenge http://www.luiginoracing.com/packages/challenge/challenge-4.html
After two years of using them they haven't moved at all, the boot is still very tight on the foot and a great fit. the only thing you need to look at is the inside of the boot as it is not leather like the Junker were for example, but some sort of suede material, so you can't really use them without socks for hygiene reasons.
I made one change on mine last time I was in berlin, adding a ruber around the front of the boot to protect the shiny material as it doesn't take falls very well, but that shouldn't be an issue I guess on ice.
You are welcome to have a look at them up close next time you come training if it helps. |

Fred, do Lugino do a custom mould service?
i'm stuck with an orthotic but am looking for a solution that would give me a permanent custom moulded form instead of my insole..just so i don't end up with a higher foot position (my orthos are nearly 10mm extra at the heel...)
Bont do this, but based on my semi-race I really don't like their skates very much.... |

Not sure actually, I know Luigino Verducci usually go to the main WIC races and does mould there, but I am guessing he must be available other times.
Let me drop him an email and see what he comes back with. |

| I heard Luigino made the rollerblade racemachine. I'm finding my racemachines quite good, however they're my only pair of speed skates, so can't really compare to anything else. So if that's the case, then they have the thumbs up from me. |

| Luigino make the RB Racemachine LE (the black model that Gill has) but not the standard Rachmachine which is an evolution of the old RB Problade (which was a Mariani design). |

That's correct, Luigino was in charge of making the custom boot for Rollerblade, when I had my feet moulded I had the choice to go for RB or the luigino boot. not usre if this is still the case as things tend to change fast in that market segment |

Here is the answer that I got from Luigino, 5 might be a bit of a stretch especially if people are not planning on getting skates at the same point during the year. Might be easier to travel where he will be unless we have the numbers.
