I've been advised that the hardness is as important as the size (ooh er, p'raps I should say diameter).
Whats best for speed 80mm/80a or 80mm/83a ?
Anyone got an opinion on this? |

Thanks Tim. Actually I posted the question wrong.
What I meant was 82mm/80a versus 80mm/82a.
Only because that seems to be all thats available in at the moment, and some seem to think that its better to go for the harder ones even if they're smaller.
What do you think?
Do you know anyone who might have some spare 82mm hard wheels to sell by any chance? |

| It depends on the wheels, but I'd be tempted to go for the softer ones since you're a lighter weight than most people. If they are Hyper + Grip I'd defo go for the softer ones personally. |

Hi Linda,
I just changed my wheels on 84/85 A.
Before that I had 80/82A. Personally I can say that I prefer the harder wheels (and I am a lighter person as well ).
Cheers

You should definitely be able to get 85A wheels in 80mm diameter. e.G. the Hyper +grip that Mike mentioned really rock Not sure what is available in 82mm.
If you just have these two options - what makes are the wheels? The actual compound differs a lot from brand to brand... In general, I reccon the softer ones will have slightly better comfort on rough ground, with the larger size compensating for the loss in hardness. Tough question though. |

Hi linda..as far as i know eddy has some good wheel's for sale although i think the largest is 80mm. Have you had a look at those hyper freedom's ?
they're more elliptical than the pro-250's and are i think about 83 - 84a . |
