I have to agree about the addiction part; no so even more in my speed boots. There really is just something to it that I have not got from the other sports I have played (i think it may be the road rash )! |

Gears - levers - this technical stuff goes over my head!
For me it's just fun. And satisfying when I can see that I am improving. Though to be pedantic, it's not really speedskating where I'm concerned! But I now do skate faster than I can walk
I've never done any kind of sport before, although I've always walked a lot. So it's quite an achievement to have started skating when I was over 50, which has given me street-cred at work - the "Groovey Grannie"  |
