Just got back to my PC after getting back today... Had a poor race and finished well behind the WIC pack. Had a good enough start and then got a cramp and a pain in my left foot (I think it was too hot and I didn’t hydrate enough) and it all accumulated to produce the pain and cramp. Additionally given the amount of distance work I have been doing for Le Mans, I am in no shape to keep up with any of the breaks and attacks. After the race when I took off my boot to massage the sole of my foot, I saw I had a huge blister on the sole of my left foot. I am now racing against time to heal before St .Moritz for skating and partying as well as Le Mans a week later.  and yes I will skate St Moritz, its too fantastic a downhill to pass up on. Come on Compeed!!!!
Okay Rant over…by the way results are
Position: 133 
Time 1:00.29,64 (11.15,05 behind the winner)
Position in Category 29 out of 83
Seriously pretty p*ssed about the whole race… By the Gav and Fred, I remembered my left hand in the sprint, it works!!!  Despite my poor condition I still came in first in my pack in the final sprint.!
Next year I am heading back to Zurich to finish what is started this year!! |
