Todays British championship racing was good in parts for LSST.
Spectacular fall for Naomi (clashing with Naomi P-B) in the ladies 3000 metres - but despite nasty injuries Naomi got up and kept racing - she's fast and made of solid iron !! And looks so good in a skinsuit.
Beatrice, skating beatifully, won the bronze in that race
Naomi picked herself up and won the bronze with an impressive sprint in the 500 metre!
And then to cap it all the ladies relay team picked up the silver in the 3000 metres relay second to the Verducci team who broke the British record in winning.
To keep the guys end up Hans and Gavin won the Bronze in the men's 5000 metres relay - should've been silver guys - don't stop till it's over next time |

| I have never wanted to race less in my life than today. Ive always hated racing, right back from school days - ive never liked it, or understood why people do it. And I REALLY dont want to go today! I hate the nerves, I hate the fear of not performing at your best, and of failing peoples expectations, and I HATE that feeling of having to push yourself during the race. |
sometimes i feel like this, but the feeling at the finish line knowing you left it all out on the track/road makes it worth it. |

Just so you all know, the LSST ladies relay team also broke the pre-existing record. A bit of practice beforehand and it could have been ours for the taking, though given the size of the trophy, not ours for the lifting. Next year I expect better It would be great to have a british record in the club. |
