Hannover to Celle Inline Marathon is planned for May 28th.
This is an inline-only race (OK, handbikers as well..) which attracts a large crowd, there are 1.100 to 1.400 skaters each year. Michi and me have done it this year and the organisation was great. So this one is definitely on my list for 2006. Would be great to see some more people there!

Race information:
Distance: Full marathon, 42.195 km
Course: Mix of large and small countryside roads. Flat throughout, two tighter turns, 2km rough tarmac.
Location: Hannover (Point-to-point race finishing in Celle)
Date / Time: Sunday, May 28th, 2006. Start will be early morning.
Classification: (2005) DRIVe class=C, InlineNews class=A.

Fees, entry, ...
Timing system: ChampionChip
Fees: (2005) 30 to 40 EUR. Cheap registration ends April 10th.
Registration: Paper only, payment via bank transfer. Happy to assist for team members.
Documents: Can be collected on the day or the day before.

Getting there
Travel: Air Berlin does direct flights Stansted-Hannover, other possibilities include EasyJet Stansted-Bremen plus a short train trip, or HLX Coventry-Hannover.
On the day: There is a bus transfer from finish to start before and after the race, so you can stay either in Hannover or Celle. Cost is 2 EUR.

When we have a confirmed date, I'll put it in the Race Calendar. It is a date that doesn't clash with anything at the moment so I'd like to come and do it.

Stayed in a super cheap hostel in Hannover last year. It is right on the edge of the centre of Hannover and was very close to the start of the marathon I did there. Don't know where the one to Celle starts but I wouldn't be surprised if it's near the Rathaus as this one was.

You will need to take a sleepng bag or pay for bed clothes.

The 30 EUR entry phase has been extended to May 8th - maybe this is a chance for some more people?
