I had a look on their website and it seems like it will be fun and certainly warm and dry !! Does the French review mention anything about the terrain ? The google translation isn't brilliant !!

I had some feedback, but unfortunatly nothing clear about Marakesh yet. |

I finally have a price for it (and dates) before haggling - overall £320 for a week.
Hotel "EL ANDALOUS"
27th of Janvier to 03rd feb:
LONDRES-MARRAKECH return: 238 EUROS with Atlas-Blue (price on 07/11/05)
Hotel EL ANDALOUS: 35 EUROS / person / night
single supp: 20 euros
assuming sharing a room: Euros483 = £320 (give or take)
I'll talk with Cat and see if she is interested to go.
If we go as a group, I'm pretty sure that we can negotiate some type of discount there.
ON top of the prices, there is the marathon entry fee (something like £30)

| I was thinking about it, but decided against it. Seems to be too much hassle and this marathon would be in the middle of my pre-season training. So I wouldn't be at my personal peak and disturb that as well. |

Flights and Hotel booked. We (Cat and me) will be having a full week holliday in Marakkech and be racing the first skating Marathon of this year.
Instead of the hotel in the post, we will be staying in a small Riad right in the center of town, cheaper and with tns of charater: http://www.riads.fr/marnet-riad-nejma_lounge-marrakech-maroc-55.html
Lets add a new country to the list of events LSST is going!

| Alex, I had a query through FISS about someone that is attending this marathon (the running part actually), and was asking about medical certificates. Apparently it's a requirement. Have you seen anything about this? |

| Christian (PUC) won in approx 1:30, through a half-race solitary breakaway. Not much more known as Christian is not back yet. |

back tonight,
Was great, will post more tomoroow or day after
Race ok, Missed first pace line at the start so was in a tiny group finished in 1h50 (not happy) but 16 out of 85 so not too bad.
The place was great to skate. Will probably try to write a small article with Cat for LS-Mike to publish
I have pictures of Cat overtaking a Cart pulled by a Donkey!!!! Only in Marrakech! |

I was looking for the details for the inline marathon in Marrakech for Jan 2007. I can see the website for the running marathon but not the skating one.
Does anyone have details for booking? |

| 80 odd registered and only listed 20 finishers, they might not think it worth doing again for skaters. |
