Just read on the German InlineNews mag:
There'll be a Munich Inline Marathon this year. This is the second World Inline Cup race in Germany and will take place on Sunday 16th. Now we know why Sebby has been busy The event will be embedded into the summer sports fair, which will be opened for the general public.
Definitely thinking about this, first info sounds great. |

This one is now confirmed, registration has opened...
Will be a "41K" marathon, WIC and GBC and a 17K fitness race. Start is planned Sunday, July 16th, 5pm. Course is an 11K loop (3 laps) plus an extension to/from the fair grounds.
Cost 39 EUR until June 30th, 19 for the fitness skate. This includes entry to the ispo inline fair and the after skate party. On Monday night there's a streetskate.
Sounds interesting, just the late Sunday start is a bummer - no way to get back that evening, and also missing the party then. |

Michi and me will be there as well, should be a fun weekend out.
Hans: Interested to share a bit of sightseeing and dinner on Saturday afternoon/evening?
Btw: There's a 69 EUR offer until July 3rd to enter both Munich and Berlin. Might be interesting to some people. |

That was really great! It was my first marathon! (the british champs last year was scandalously only a 1/2 marathon for women).
And I really didnt expect you guys to all be there, so it was really exciting to see you all! I was only expecting Gav & hans, and I only found out about them the weekend before hand, so it was really great fun for me. |

probably on world-inline-cup.com site. haven't checked yet. Don't want to know really :p Was a pretty crap race for me, my legs were just empty... stuck with the pack for 20km and then dropped off and skated with 4 of us. It was a really fast race... I think they did 58min for 40km. That's just as fast as Berlin, and the course was nowhere near as smooth. Was flat though, just a few slight uphills involving on ramps/bridges.
Oh yeah, and I missed my flight back. Pissed. Sitting in Munich airport waiting for next flight at 4pm. |
