Will it be one of those bikes you get at the circus which has handlebars which turn the opposite way to the front wheel  Wink  - you know, the type which you win a tenner if you can ride it between 2 markers without falling off ???

No no no, that would be silly.

I do have (well looking after for a friend) an old school Low-Pro Orbit 531 framed bike (650 and 700c), just need some brakes to compleate, that could be a fun next thing to try.

I think I may be leaving you with the trike Barrie, those just look far too strange, and of course will take up too much space in the garage. Fun to have a go on one one day, but not a course with too many bends, ouch.

arrgh, handcycles no.

Great for those that can't I'm sure, but evolution has left me with my big motive muscles in my lower half.

If you want wierd Mikes one after this had hub centre steering at the front with a non moving bottom bracket going through it. Some amazing engineering.

heh, I just like the seating position...

Still not sure how it steers with legs in the way though!?

As Mike B shows, you don't need much lock if you are racing, it's only slow speed that needs it. You can hang the feet from the headstock so they don't need to move then, and most handcycles steer when not "pedaling". Bottom bracket shell does goes where the are as it were.

Now wait Peter, you're going to get the ignorant asking if you're disabled, or why are you riding a deathtrap.  LOL!

I rode Mike's prototype of Peter's new bike when I took the bassfreight up to get rewelded.  Very nice, lovely handling.
