ok well i have just got myself a pair of tour 800 skates and went out for the 1st time on them properly last night.

amazed at the speed i got up to coming from an aggressive skating background.

one thing i felt was a little wierd and i am putting this down to being used to salomon vinny minton skates is the ankle support does not seem to be there.  i had them up very tight and they are the right size it just felt like it was lacking something.

is this normal

also when are you guys going to be at hype park again ?  weekend maybe?

That sounds pretty normal. Generally they feel like they provide some support but it feels minimal. They certainly provide less than recreational skates and a lot less than aggressives. It is a designed compromise between providing lateral support (stiff carbon) and longitudinal movement. This is so you can bend your ankle up and down to make the most of your stride and reach while giving a bit of support to reduce the leverage of the frames/wheels on your ankles when edging. A bit of regular practice and you will both get used to it and adapt/strenghten to the point that you don't notice it any more.

To get yourself used to them. Wear them as often as possible for as long as you can comfortably wear them before your ankle gets tired. Then stop and rest. Don't continue to wear them once you tire and can't balance on one foot. It puts you foot out of shape and can cause nasty blisters, which together may harm your technique and prevent you from being able to wear them enough to get used to them. I wish someone drummed that into my head for my first pair of speed skates.
