So much weather atm it's not funny.
The Tour de France is in town at the w/e so there'll be lots of road closures around the West End, and peds and cyclists around HP too.

Wed - LS (WP)
Thu - swim or Tatem if it's on
Fri - LFNS (WP)
Sat - watch the Prologue maybe

Spin tonight and maybe RC

Might skate at some point during the week, but probably nothing too tough.

So if there is no training tonight (probable) will Adrian come another night?

On a personal note, I can't make Thursday, but could probably do Wednesday.

May do some morning sessions in Hyde Park during the week.

Will be at HP on Sat to watch the start of the tour.

Message from Adrian
Quote:
Unfortunately, I can’t get over to Tatem Park tonight (or next Tuesday either), because Mrs Wordsworth has 2 PTA meetings at school.

The weather forecast doesn’t look good for tonight, but it’s sunny enough right now – so who knows !

If you do get over there, you should be doing a recovery session to get over the weekend. This should mean no prolonged sprints or accelerations, so try to keep it nice and steady tonight. I think most of the others were racing Le Mans too, so they should be going steady.

You could do the following –

10 mins warm up

10 mins from back of the line to the front (changing every half lap)

Team pursuit – 2 equal teams on opposite sides of the track skate for 10 mins trying to catch each other but you must skate as a team (no one should be allowed to drop off the back). Make sure everyone gets a go at the front and it’s not just the faster guys pulling the slower ones around.

10 mins from back to front with half lap changes

Team pursuit 10 mins – same format.

5 mins warm down

Take 3 mins break between each set.

I judged this morning that there was no chance it would be dry so don't actually have my skates with me, and don't think I will go home to get them and then head to Tatem if it DOES stay dry.

I will plan to head over there on Wed / Thurs though, and check whether Adrian can make it.

Thunder, lightning and torrential rain in East London now - so I'm staying home and heat-moulding my stop-gap replacement boots hoping to be able to use them in Hanover

I'm up for another gentle session pre-Hanover.

Went to Tatem yesterday for 1.5 hours (no rain)  Spent my time setting up my boots- still not totally happy.  Did a ten minute session and 2x 1km and 2x500m

Checked the weather forecast and it's due to rain from 6-7pm. So I didn't take my skates today. But at least the w/e looks rather promising.

The forecast yesterday was for solid rain - it didn't happen  Smile

Today's accuweather forecast is for rain at Tatem between 3 and 4, dry after that.  But as we all know the forecasts can be way out.  At the moment  guided by the forecast we'd never skate at all  Sad

I'm in Walthamstowe till 6:15 then I'll head towards Tatem and see what happens.

Ha!  I rode in on the batbike, got in one lesson, and had to stop the next one 10 minutes in.  Lovely ride home, but wet as.  And lots of people kept trying to race me.

LOL - that sucks.

I went spinning and did 2 sessions back to back. Lots of fun Smile

Am definitely planning on a Richmond session on Saturday, but at a decent time, since it's my bday drinks on Fri night (see topic in members section) - like 12ish.
