Since I am racing Mittlerhein this week I am not going to be doing any distance at speed after monday Will do some LondonSkate light work on Wednesday but I am going to train the rest of my training week at Tatem as I have entered the North London race for the following weekend. Arghh, first track race in 2 years I don't feel very well prepared. I get back from Koblenz around lunch time on Sunday and Tatem is easily on the way home, so I will be off to Tatem for an afternoon session should anyone else wish to join in.

Summary
Mon - Route check
Tue - Tatem interval training over timed 800/1500m distances
Wed - LondonSkate
Thu - Tatem light training (optional)
Fri - Early night
Sat - Early flight + Mittlerhein Marathon
Sun - Flying AM + Tatem PM (probably similar pattern to Tuesday)

Tatem this evening as long as the weather holds out. Which it should.

Good session last night. Good numbers too. I haven't been for a while but we had about 12 people there. Was it the draw of the skinsuits or is it usually like that at this time of year and now Adrian is coming along?

I still feel I get better marathon training out of a route check but I have had enough marathon training for the time being and will be making a (probably short-lived) return to the track on 24th just to show off my new suit.

10-12 about usual for a Tuesday, this time of year

Re marathon vs track, I get no training benefit at all from a route check, for anything.  What's limiting me in marathons (aside from staying upright, which I point out only to forestall some smartass who doubtless otherwise will) is pack tactics, staying with breaks, and skating in less-than-totally-co-operative pacelines, and that kind of intervallic work is exactly what I get from training and racing at Tatem

Yep, great session last night. Even if most of us felt a bit constrained inside our new skin.
