| Did the maths on Hillingdon today. One lap there is 1,565m so 27 laps is 42,255m which is 60m longer than a marathon. Makes it a bit difficult to organise a half marathon at the same time without 2 start points and simultaneous starting. |
If the British Champs are switched to the marathon anyway, why not offer a "20k" or "25k" recreational race which fits into the lap pattern. Doesn't have to be a half marathon. |

| My slightly dodgy google maps hack says about 10.6k for Richmond outer loop, for what it's worth |

because the cadets 14-15 (or 13-15, can't remember off hand) race a half marathon distance. Would have to be okay'd by FISS for a distance change. |

Not quite up to speed yet but Saturday was pretty good - Stroll route check following by a few lengths of Serpentine Road and a couple of small circuits at a reasonable pace with Linda, Rich, and a couple of others (names forgotten )
In all I spent three hours and skated 20 miles in my speed boots in perfect comfort - lucky or what? |
