Ooohh, training for this week, and I'll be in London
What are people planning to do Saturday evening / Sunday? I'll have a not-skating friend with me so I'll be able to only drop him for a like 2h session, preferrably in Central London.
Hope there are some options? Marshall's session is too early. Well the stroll is always there. Hmm. |

Depends on the weather.
Can see at least one problem with the draft route. Long Acre turns into a one way street in the opposite direction when you get to Drury Lane which will alter the stuff south of Holborn Station.
Haven't got an A-Z in front of me but it looks like you're planning on going round Grosvener Square in the bit thats closed off in front of the US embassy too.
There's no right turn into Long Lane from Tower Bridge Road but I guess you'll have ignored that many a time on the routes to the Elusive Camel and know the next right will take you there okay.
It does go right next to what is hopefully going to be my new office in a couple of weeks though. Fingers crossed.

| My week is panning out like Dan's. Plus a couple of sessions focusing on core strength. |

What kind of sessions are you doing for core strength? |

I thought the point of spinning was that an indoor class was supposed to go ahead and not be cancelled just because it's winter, unlike proper outdoor cycling. Oh well.
There will not be an LFNS route check tomorrow (it's on Thursday instead this week). Weather permitting, I'll be out anyway to look at some stuff for my themed route in a few weeks time (provisionally looking something like http://maps.telent.net/map.html?20060203). Unlikely to be all that fast, and may involve a lot of doubling back and scratching of heads, but anybody wanting a bit of fresh air is welcome. Provisionally 8pm at Wellington Arch; will edit this post if I change my mind |

| The lead marshal for this week got his Tuesdays and Thursdays mixed up. So LFNS route check is tonight (if dry, we'll post here if it doesn't go ahead). Imagine Dan will be doing his route check another day this week. |

Edd (this week's LM) posted a GO for the route check, btw, so absent any major climactic climax that should all be happening.

Right down Drury Lane then immediate left across the pedestrian bit (in front of Bow Street magistrates, or what used to be it). Doable, but worth slowing down for.

Erm, yeah. Unfortunate drafting error. What I meant to draw goes one street (Park Street, iirc) further west instead

OK, didn't know that. Thanks. The camel routes generally go down Tooley St (which is also a no-right-turn, but there's a perfectly good bus lane to make it all OK)

This will be happening on the next available dry(ish) evening: i.e. tonight (Wednesday) or tomorrow.
[ Edit: forecast not looking great for tonight, but who knows? The rain might yet blow over by 8 </optimist>]
Might add in a couple of pacey bits (e.g. down the Embankment) for Rick, seeing as he's finding route checks too slow.
