Glenn, answering your question here.
Yes, I was there this morning. Was lovely and crisp, almost entirely dry, and started snowing half way through (only a little, I just kept on going) |

What's on the menu?
(Hmm, I can see us continuing to need w/c threads for questions like that and "who's driving?") |

I was thinking veal in a red wine sauce, with roast parsnips on the side
Ummm.... not sure what T was planning, but I am thinking longer intervals (10min or so), focusing on technique, not crazy fast. |

Mmmm I like that calendar thing. Good idea. One I'm likely to check more often than the old one.
I'll try to be at Tatem tomorrow WP. I'll have to take it very easy though because of my finger. Hopefully I won't be the only 'not crazy fast' skater on the track.
Now just need to organise carbs dinner, bag, and get up early enough.

Sorry to post so 11th-hour, but Kate and I will be popping out to Hillingdon for around 9ish tomorrow (Sunday) morning.
Leaving our house (near Shepherds Bush Central Line station) at 8:30am sharp if anyone would like a lift.
(Just post here between now and 8am tomorrow, and I'll check for replies before we leave, to see if I need to meet anyone at the station. Or text if you have Kate's or my number - me until midnight, or either of us from 7:45am or so tomorrow...)
I believe Tanya's also thinking of going. |

Tatem was good on Saturday with an excellent turnout for a rather disappointingly wet/damp track, at least at the beginning.
Those low walking exercises are tough though, and this morning my legs let me know. They also seem ideal for indoor home winter training which is great! |

| Started my skipping training this morning as part of my home workout routine. My knees were rather tired rather quickly but then that was the whole point of it. I hope to see some results in a few weeks of being able to go longer and jump higher. |

It was good - thanks Gav. And the track was getting drier towards the end, though still slippery on the corner into the back straight. Having dicovered that trains to Silver St (about 15 minutes walk from Tatem) run from stations in my neck of the woods, I think I'll be at Tatem a lot more often this year.
(Anyone else who can easily get to Liverpool St might also want to investigate that option: much less hassle than the tube+bus trip via Turnpike Lane or wherever) |
