No skating for me. It's far too tirying.
I might try a sunday Holloween skate but I am a bit scared of freaky people. I might try and hide underneath some kind of mask then! |

Also spinning tonight. We go to a class at Fitness First, Covent Garden organised by the Serpentine triathletes. Its a pretty good class, with little aerobics silliness.
(Kay is doing the same as above, but with extra running and swimming sessions ) |

Wednesday - suicide skate (weather permitting)
Saturday - help a friend (and my god-daughter) learn to skate [weather and his wifely work-shifts allowing].
A bit of a full-on training week, I know.
Might have to let off a bit next week...

May I suggest a hollowed-out pumpkin?
Careful not to fall, though - I hear they tend to smash into lots of little pieces on impact... |

One of Kay's extra running sessions that I mentioned above, was actually a 10km race around Battersea Park. Kay did very will to finish in the last medal position (7th woman), in a time of 47:45 nearly 5 mins ahead of her previous PB.
If she can convert some of that running speed into skating speed then I am sure she will set a few skating PBs next year. |

Well done Kay ! I did a 10k on the same weekend and got 48.53 (in about 200th position or something !!) so you had me well beaten. I'll be aiming for sub 45 minutes next year though ! |

Well done.
I went for a quiet jog around Finsbury Park last Sunday morning. Weather was too nice to stay indoor. Will try to make it a regular thing for me as there's not much skating to be done for me between now and March-April probably. |

Why? Now is a great time to skate - especially for fun and on the street for transport - guess it depends on where you live - but wish I had more time to do more.
