Feeling a bit stiffer than I was all day yesterday but nothing I can't skate with and I really enjoyed my skate to work this morning. Perhaps because I forgot to take my headphones of and had some ripping tunes perhaps because I took a different route to work that although longer was so smoooooth perhaps because I just love skating at the moment anyway back to the topic.

All depending on the weather:
Mon - Route Check for Wed - medium carbs
Tue - Route Check for Frid - low/no carbs
Wed - LondonSkate - low/no carbs
Thu - Rest day (theatre) - carb loading
Fri - LFNS not much sprinting, trying to take it easy - carb loading
Sat - 2am Eurotunnel driving to Duisberg carb loading until early afternoon
Sun - Duisberg Marathon drive home

Will keep commuting on skates so long as it's dry. Weather seems to have dipped a bit this week but will hopefully rebound a bit by the w/e.

Now that the weather is better, I would have significant concern from a safety point of view doing official club sprints at the beach.  What's more, in doing so we're breaking the speed limit on that road, and it's one of the few places it might actually apply to skaters too.  [1]

I'm busy this Sunday, but I've scheduled in a regular 09.30 session of 500m sprints after that, and will be running them from May 6th.

[1] On the public highway, speed limits apply only to motor vehicles in law.  In the Parks, they apply to all vehicles, including cyclists.  I know we might technically be pedestrians (very fast binmen!), but it's fair enough that the public get pissed off with so many of us going so quickly.  It's understandably scary and very intimidating for them to see a large bunch of violently sprinting skaters heading right at them.  A couple of years ago I saw an irate father push one of the skaters over on a sprint session.

Actually, I was putting the sunday sprints up there as it's part of the club training. I will be in Germany. But I won't be in Duisberg... I'm off to the Kriterium in Gross Gerau. Really high level track race near Frankfurt. A lot of the national teams (french, swiss) use it as their own qualifying race. And a few of the full pro teams will be there. All track stuff, but pretty much Euro champs level. Need it for more track racing experience. (basically going to get my ass kicked)

Maybe it'd be worth putting the Official stuff in the first post each week, so people know what's what.  This either means that Gav has to start the w/c threads or that he edits whoever posts first ...
